Clickbait Title: Gumworth Is Good and Here's Why!

Assembling my favorite Dick Gumshoe/Miles Edgeworth fics in a trilogy of recs: one's my own as a fun cheat, but the other two are masterworks, so it balances out ;)

Playing off of Miles' love of Steel Samurai? Check. Gumshoe's amazing character voice and a deliciously great pastiche of fandom? Double check! Pyrasaur is such a master of these small bites of canon-adjacent relationship explorations - it's fluffy without sacrificing fluffy substance: just a real joy to read if you havent.

Turnabout Dog Days by ArisTGD
Aside from being one of my favorite explicit Ace Attorney fics period, this is an ArisTGD classic: all of her signature character deep dives and a truly delicious meal of consent and kink negotiation. Did you have a Gumshoe as a puppy kink before reading this? Well, would you like one? Also doubles as a really good way of integrating Gumshoe/Maggey with Gumworth, if that's your fancy (or, once again, if you'd like it to be ;P).

And Yet We Trust by pickledragon (me)
Nepotism for Gumworth makes it okay! When I write one-off fics for ships, I usually do it as a thesis for why the ship works - mixing some classic guilt for the way Miles treats Gumshoe in AA1 with that constant steadfastness that Gumshoe gives him. Add in some Christmas party angst and that trope of revisiting a scenario but as less of a jerk and you get a very interesting time.
